Numbers and porting

A customer's phone number is part of their business. Moving it should be something they barely notice. We manage porting from start to finish: we check the details up front, agree the date with you, and keep an eye on the cut-over, so numbers move to the new service without missed calls or surprises.

Need new numbers? We provide UK geographic numbers from any area code, so a business can keep a local presence wherever its customers are, whatever its phone system. We also provide 03 and 0800 numbers, and numbers in more than 50 countries for customers with teams or customers abroad. Every number can be used on any of our voice services, including Webex, Teams and standards-based phone systems.

We keep each number's emergency address record up to date, so 999 calls show the right location. Directory listings can be added on request.

Voice is only as good as the line underneath it

Most call-quality problems aren’t really voice problems. They’re connectivity problems. Over ordinary internet, voice traffic competes with everything else on the line. Our Ethernet gives voice priority all the way from the customer’s site to our platform. Where Ethernet isn’t justified, we size the broadband and the router for clear calls. Either way, it’s all on one bill.
